Kindred Farm BnBs - Frequently Asked Questions
We love having you stay in Sunrise & Sunset here on Kindred Farm! Please read through these frequently asked questions so you’re best prepared for staying overnight with us.
What bnbs do you have available?
Sunrise Suite (east-facing) sleeps 6 people and is perfect for a couple, family, or small group. Sunrise features an open floor plan with living room, kitchenette, full bathroom with tub, Queen bedroom that sleeps 2, and bunk room that sleeps 4.
Sunset Condo (west-facing) sleeps 2-3 people and is perfect for celebrating an anniversary or birthday, or just having a special getaway. Sunset features a spacious, open floor plan with living room, full kitchen, full bathroom with glass tiled shower, King bedroom that sleeps 2 with sitting area and walk-in closet, and pull-out couch that sleeps 1 extra person.
WHERE ARE THE bnbs LOCATED? HOW PRIVATE ARE THEY?
The BnBs are located here on Kindred Farm, which is a working farm. Both BnBs are on the second floor of our new, modern event barn. The guest entrances are on the back side of the barn on the second floor. All guests should be aware that the first floor of the barn is used daily for office space and event setup for our staff. We also frequently host events throughout the season inside the event barn on the first floor and in the outside firepit/seating areas. There is extensive rock wool insulation throughout all the ceiling/walls of the first and second floor, but be aware there will be some noise from the daily workings of a farm and when we are hosting events. Please note we cannot stop or pause an event when a guest is staying with us. Events usually end by 8:30pm, and cleanup by our staff typically ends 1-2 hours after the event.
Our neighbors also have several farm animals, so you might hear sounds of the countryside, such as a rooster crowing, sheep, and cows.
While our staff is always mindful while guests are staying with us, we have found that our rentals are a great fit for guests who do not mind experiencing some sounds and who understand this is a working farm and event center.

CAN I ATTEND OTHER EVENTS YOU HAVE ON THE FARM?
Yes, we’d love for you to attend one of our dinners and experiences and pair it with an overnight stay! Contact us, and we’ll let you know of any events happening while you are staying with us.
DO YOU PACKAGE DEALS FOR RENTING BOTH BNBS OR ADDING ON PRIVATE CHEF MEALS, CINNAMON ROLLS, ETC?
YES, we can also put together packages for girls' retreat weekends and anniversary weekends, with cinnamon rolls by the fire, private dinners and outdoor movie experiences…and whatever else you can dream up! Contact us for details on special packages.
WHAT KIND OF ACCESS DO GUESTS HAVE TO THE FARM?
Please enjoy the view from your side of the balcony, and feel free to walk the path behind the barn to enjoy the woods by Fairy Creek, which runs seasonally. You can also feel free to enjoy the fire pits behind the barn (and use the firewood in our wood pile!) when we are not hosting a public event. For everyone’s safety and security, please do not enter the “staff only” or event areas of the barn while you are staying with us, unless you are attending an event.
The Kindred Farm Store is open to the public on select Saturday mornings. If you're staying with us during this time, come hang out with us and buy some artisan goods we sell at the farm store! We often serve breakfast and drinks as well.
We offer farm tours with the owners when the farm store is open or at separate times for a fee. Let us know if you're interested in scheduling a tour or purchasing some produce or flowers when in season!
A FEW IMPORTANT RULES:
Feel free to observe and enjoy the farm animals over the fence in the pasture behind the barn, but please DO NOT touch or feed the animals, as they belong to our neighbors.
As this is a working farm, we ask that you please attend to your children - there are tools around, fences, plus bugs and other critters that live in the countryside! Please do not pick any flowers from our fields or wander into the produce fields or greenhouses - these areas are available by tour only. If and when our farm store is open on select Saturday mornings, we would love to show you around the farm! Guided farm tours outside these hours are led by the Baileys for a separate fee.
Friendly reminder that other buildings on the property, such as the wood barn and farmhouse down the hill, are off-limits to guests. Our guests are amazing, so we trust you to respect the privacy of our staff and family.
Are children welcome?
Yes, children are allowed in both BnBs, but Sunrise is best suited for bringing children. Sunrise includes a fun adventure-themed bunk room that sleeps 4, along with curated kids book shelves and some games and toys. Sunrise also has a bathtub.
Are pets allowed?
NO PETS are allowed on the farm or in our BnBs.
What are my parking options?
We have 1 parking spot available behind the barn at the entrance to Sunrise & Sunset. Additionally, we have plenty of parking available in front of the barn. During an event, our BnB guests get VIP parking privileges.
How can I contact the owners with any questions?
Please feel free to email us at hello@thekindredfarm.com and we’d be glad to answer them.
